TREASURE VALLEY — The Ada County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help identifying two men who they say used stolen debit card information to make fraudulent withdrawals from ATMs in Kuna, Eagle and Boise.
Deputies say the withdrawals happened in early June. It isn't clear how the men got the debit card numbers or PINs. Deputies say the men appear to be working together. Authorities say the man in the grey sweatshirt made withdrawals in Kuna and Eagle while the other man made withdrawals in Boise.
Both men were on bicycles when they went up to ATMs and left as cars pulled in behind them. Images show them coming back around after the cars left. Deputies say both suspects had the same earpieces in and were wearing the same Nike backpacks.
Ada County detectives have identified two victims and believe there may be others. Deputies say video shows the man in the grey sweatshirt alone at one ATM for 18 minutes, going through several credit cards.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the men in the pictures or anyone who may be a potential victim to contact the Ada County Sheriff's Office. Call Det. Matt Buie at (208)577-3738 or email at mbuie@adacounty.id.gov.
