The Village at Meridian has announced its “Rock the Village” lineup for the free summer concert series, which starts on July 8th. Acts include tribute bands covering rock legends like the Eagles, Elton John, Fleetwood Mac and Creedence Clearwater Revival.

“‘Rock the Village’ brings live music weekly to the heart of the Boise Valley for a third straight year, including a great mix of old favorites and a few new bands,” said Hugh Crawford, General Manager for The Village at Meridian. “The popularity of ‘Rock the Village’ stems largely from the eclectic mix of music genres, as well as a balance of some of the best regional bands with great local entertainers. We’ve also made a few changes to make the experience even better for our guests.”

This year, concerts will start at 5:30 p.m. and last until 8:30 p.m.. Store hours will be extended until 10 p.m. and the Village Cinema will feature later movie times, officials said.

The music will continue beyond the concert at Big Al’s and Backstage Bistro, which will feature live bands after Rock the Village.

The concerts are free to the public and located at the heart of The Village in Fountain Square. Lawn seating is available on a first come-first serve basis, with limited chairs available. Due to the popularity of Fountain Square restaurant patio seating, each restaurant may have a special minimum dining charge for patio seating during the concerts. Details can be obtained by contacting each restaurant directly.
