The body of missing 18-month-old Mason Cunningham was found Wednesday morning in Ten Mile Creek, about four miles from his rural Canyon County home, according to Canyon County officials.
Mason went missing from his home on the 6800 block of Ustick Road, near 11th Ave. North. Extension, around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
“He had been in the yard with a family member who had gone around the house to change irrigation. A few minutes later, Mason could not be found,” Canyon County spokesman Joe Decker said.
The Meridian Police Department’s tracking dog was called in Tuesday night, but the search yielded no results, Decker said.
Searchers found the toddler’s body shortly before 9 a.m.
