Caldwell Police sting operation results in arrests of five men charged with child enticement

CALDWELL, Idaho — A sting operation conducted by the Caldwell Police Department between Nov. 19 and Nov. 20 has resulted in the arrests of five men on charges of child enticement, among other multiple crimes charged.

During the operation, Caldwell Police also cooperated with the Idaho Attorney General's Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force and the Department of Homeland Security to focus on sex crimes against children in the Treasure Valley.

Below is a list of suspects and their current charges, according to the Caldwell Police Department:

Cadenas, Banning and Rodriguez are being held in the Canyon County Jail on state charges, while Campos and Harris were taken into custody on federal charges.

Other agencies involved in the sting operation include: The Canyon County Prosecutor's Office, the United States Attorney's Office (Idaho), the FBI Metro Task Force, the Canyon County Sheriff's Office (Narcotics division), the United States Marshal's Office, the United States Postal Service and District III Probation & Parole.
