Canyon County Sheriff’s Office deputies have arrested a Caldwell man in connection with a number of arsons that occurred at the Towns Village Mobile Home Park over the past seventeen months.

Darin L. Moore, 42, was taken into custody Monday afternoon without incident, said Canyon County spokesman Joe Decker. Moore has been charged with seven counts of felony arson in the first degree.

In an interview with detectives, Moore confessed he was responsible for the February 26th arson and six previous arson fires at Towns Village beginning in November of 2015.  “Moore admitted to detectives that he knew each residence was unoccupied at the time and that he started each fire in a similar fashion,” Decker stated.

Moore is currently being held in the Canyon County Jail on a $150,000 bond.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 28 at 8:30 a.m.
