Boise National Forest officials say the Buck Fire, burning eight miles northeast of Deadwood Reservoir, is now 95 percent contained.
At last report, the fire had burned over 1,250 acres.
Rainfall in the area has subdued the minimal fire activity crews saw over the past few days. Firefighters are still on the firelines and are finishing mop-up operations and hauling out equipment.
Road closures remain in effect at this time, yet access to Deadwood Reservoir and most of the surrounding recreation areas remains open to the public.
The closure can be viewed online at: http://www.fs.usda.gov/alerts/boise/alerts-notices.
Both the temporary flight restriction and the Notice to Airmen in place on the Bruce Meadows Airstrip are expected to be lifted by Tuesday evening..
Those traveling on County Road 579, though, are still advised to use caution. Conditions are washboardy and fire traffic will still be in the area, as the mop-up efforts are concluded.
