A security guard says a broken water pipe led to the evacuation of movie-goers at the Village Cinema in Meridian tonight. It happened around 5 p.m.
Ada County Dispatchers tell us Meridian Fire crews helped people get out of the theater safely.
Dispatchers also tell us there were worries water may have made it into electrical systems so people were asked to leave the building.
The theater was closed when our crews were on scene, no word on when it will reopen.
The guard also tells us customers should hold on to their tickets as they work out details on refunds.
