Britain's most anticipated event of the season has arrived -- the royal wedding. While millions of Americans will be watching the wedding on tv, the Brits will be celebrating in a special way.

"They have street parties," said Jane Merrow, British filmmaker and actress. "There are loads of street parties. I can imagine there will be street parties where people get together and bring tables out and put out lots of food music. They just have a big party."

The wedding is expected to cost somewhere around $40 million, with a good chunk going toward security. But it's a small price when you think of the economic impact.

"Economically, it's very good for England," said Merrow. "There's a lot of money being spent in England with people coming into the country and people buying souvenirs and people staying in hotels. It is providing lots of business and work."

About 600 guests will feast on both lunch and dinner -- which accounts for about one-quarter of the total budget. As far as the guest list goes, Kensington Palace confirms the Obamas and Trumps, as well as other political leaders, were not invited.

Everyone has been speculating about every detail. Merrow says Markle most likely will wear a tiara from the Queen collection or the Spencer family. Merrow has followed every royal wedding from as far back as she can remember. In fact, her mother was a sketch artist and sketched Princess Diana's wedding dress.

"They would be called up to the palace or whatever fashion house that designed the gown and draw it because there was no photography in those days," said Merrow.

She says has a pretty good idea what Markle will wear.

"I hope and I think the dress will be lovely and enhance her beauty," said Merrow.

The latest speculation is a Ralph & Russo dress. The London haute couture designers have previously prepared outfits for stars such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, and Beyonce.

But, of course, we will have to wait and see.
