A grass fire is burning in the area of Bogus Basin Road and North Simplot Lane north of Boise, according to an Ada County dispatch supervisor.
The fire burned about fifteen acres and was 80 percent contained about 11:30 a.m. Friday, according to Boise Fire Department spokesman Char Jackson.
No structures were threatened. Boise Police officers went door-to-door in nearby neighborhoods, alerting residents of the fire.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
