The Meridian Library is getting 14 different bikes for the public to use, and they can be checked out all for free thanks to a new Book A Bike program.

The City of Meridian was able to start the program after they received a grant from Blue Cross to reduce childhood obesity.

The bikes come with a helmet, lock, lights, maps of the road, rules and regulations, and can be kept for up to a week.

They can be checked out at the Unbound Library on Main Street in Meridian and will be available after the launch at the Meridian Food Truck Fest on April 14th.

The library said they are looking for volunteers to help with the upkeep of the bikes. If you would like to help, just head to theUnbound Library in Meridian.
