Harrison Boulevard between Hill Road and Hays Street in Boise’s North End will be closed October 31st from 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for “Halloween on Harrison Boulevard,” according to the Ada County Highway District.

Every year, the Boulevard has been a popular spot for hundreds of young trick-or-treaters, with many of the homes lining the street lavishly decorated for Halloween.

“Only pedestrian traffic will be allowed. Lemp Street crossing Harrison Boulevard will be open to limited traffic. Officers from the Boise Police Department will be assisting with traffic control,” said Ada County Highway District spokesperson Nicole DuBois.

This closure was approved at the request of several residents on Harrison Boulevard to increase safety for the thousands of children and their families who are expected to go trick-or-treating Tuesday night, DuBois added.

Drivers are advised to choose alternate routes in the Harrison Blvd. area Tuesday night.
