Treasure Valley residents joined the annual Northwest Walk for Parkinson's this Saturday to show support for people living with Parkinson's and to raise awareness for the Northwest Parkinson's Foundation.

The walk was free but donations were encouraged, all money raised will go to the Northwest Parkinson's Foundation."

Organizers hope participants learned more about the disease.

People that don't know too much about Parkinson's besides the shaking people and Micheal J. Fox, it's actually a lot more in depth," says Northwest Parkinson Foundation Idaho Advocate, Brad Perry. "There's a lot more going on inside of our minds and things that aren't quite working with our bodies but we're still people and just like anybody else we just tend to move around a little bit more."
