Haily Knight has always tried to help. On Easter she passed out Easter baskets at the homeless camp downtown, and this Christmas, despite the camp being gone, she still have plans.
It hasn't stopped Knight from wanting to do what she does best--to give. She's gathered some friends and tomorrow, starting at noon, they will be caroling for hours in downtown Boise, and asking the public to either come join them in their singing, or to donate. Knight is trying to raise enough money to fill at least one Salvation Army box full of toys.
"When it comes to the holidays, whether you're religious or not, whether you believe in Christmas or not, It's about giving. It's not about being a Scrooge, it's not about about winter and dealing with the ice and the snow, it's about letting kids know it's good to give, and it's also good to receive," said Knight.
Knight said her group will be starting their caroling at noon on Saturday on 8th Street for anyone who wants to come by or to donate. Knight also started this GoFundMe page.
