A Caldwell woman is in custody following an overnight shooting in Boise.

Police were called to the scene of a domestic dispute near the intersection of Clinton Street and North Roosevelt Street around 9:30 Thursday night.

When officers arrived, they came across an adult female who was behaving erratically, disregarding officer commands. Police say the suspect displayed what turned out to be a replica of a handgun.

A Boise Police officer, Michelle Havens, fired her weapon at the suspect identified as Jennie L. Timmons, 38, of Caldwell.

No one was injured. After attempting to run from the scene, Timmons was taken into custody.

Timmons has been charged with four counts of felony assault stemming from an incident that occurred before BPD arrived on scene, and unlawful discharge of a weapon.

Havens has been placed on administrative leave and the incident will be investigated by the Ada County Critical Task Force.
