A Boise woman has been arrested for drug trafficking, after police say they found some 91 grams of suspected heroin in her vehicle.
Boise Police officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was failing to maintain its lane on I-84 near the Vista off-ramp about 3:20 a.m. on Friday, according to a Boise Police Department news release.
When officers spoke to the driver of the vehicle -- identified as Oksana Struk, 23, of Boise -- they found that her license was currently suspended, the release said. A drug-detecting police dog conducted an open-air sniff around the vehicle and alert to the presence of narcotics.
“Officers searched the vehicle and located a makeup bag with several small plastic baggies inside, each containing a substance which tested presumptive positive for heroin. The combined weight of the baggies of suspected heroin weighed approximately 91 grams, making the charge a felony,” the release stated.
Struk was booked into the Ada County Jail on a felony charge of trafficking in heroin.
