If you're a fan of the new water features at Esther Simplot Park then get excited because officials at Boise Parks and Recreation say it's only going to get better.

At a meeting last night, officials as well as designers updated the public on their progress and took comments.

They plan to add more features to White Water Park including a beach area and two more rapid features downstream from the current one.

Officials say they want the park to be enjoyed by people of all skill levels even people watching from the banks.

"There’s some basic goals that we have to meet and that's the irrigation delivery and the river safety and the flood mitigation um but the recreation side of it is right there," said John Tensen, Boise City Engineer.

Officials hope to start construction a year from now. They hope to have it fully completed in 2018.
