Boise State has suspended backup tight end David Lucero following his arrest on Monday, November 16th.
According to jail records, Lucero was arrested for felony attempted strangulation after the Boise Police Department responded to a fight in progress at a home near South Shoshone Street and Cherry Lane around 10:48 pm.
Witnesses told police that Lucero and a woman were arguing when it became physical.
The red shirt freshman had already plead guilty to minor possession of alcohol earlier this year.
Lucero appeared in nine games this season
