One of the suspects in the shooting near Cassia and Philippi on Thursday morning has been arrested, says Boise Police.
Victor Bran-Nava, 20 of Boise, turned himself in Thursday afternoon and was charged with felony aggravated battery and felony intimidation of a state's witness, while another suspect is still at large.
Officials said Victor Bran-Nava previously had altercations with the victim and was seeking revenge against the victim. Nava was arrested on September 28th for battery against the same victim.
Nava and two other suspects, one who is a 17-year-old juvenile, approached the victim when he was inside a car and then punched and kicked the victim. Nava then used a gun to shoot at the victim but struck the juvenile suspect instead. Nava fired the gun again, striking the victim. The three suspects, including the injured juvenile, fled the scene, according to a Boise Police Department news release.
The injured juvenile later was taken to a local hospital, the release stated.
Officers are still working to locate the third suspect and the investigation is ongoing. None of the injuries are life-threatening.
