BOISE, Idaho — Boise police say a suspect is in a custody, and no one was harmed, after they responded to a report of a man with a gun near the 1000 block of S. La Pointe St., near Boise State University.

Shortly after 8:00 p.m. police sent out a BroncoAlert, warning students of the threat and asking them to stay away.

Witnesses say 25-year-old Alex Guerrero, of Boise, was in an argument with someone across the street when the suspect displayed a firearm.

Police say, when they arrived on scene, they located both Guerrero and the firearm.

After a brief investigation, Guerrero was taken into custody and charged with a misdemeanor for exhibiting a deadly weapon in an angry or threatening manner.

A subsequent BroncoAlert was sent out to let students know the situation had been resolved.
