BOISE, Idaho — Boise Police detectives are investigating a call of shots fired that happened just before 1 a.m. Monday.

According to a press release from Boise Police, officers arrived at the 6000 block of W. Russett Street.

Police say two men were in a vehicle on Russett Street when a third man came up to the vehicle and shouted at the driver. The driver did not know the man and got out of the vehicle to confront him. The suspect, Richard Legall of Boise, drew a firearm and shot once at the driver. The suspect ran from the scene.

Police did not find any evidence that the vehicle or anything else was hit when Legall fired the weapon.

When officers arrived, they began an extensive search for the suspect. Police took 38-year-old Legall into custody Monday night. He faces a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Nobody was injured.
