BOISE, Idaho — Boise Police officers responded to a report of a crash before 2:30 Tuesday morning in the area of South Surprise Way and East Amity Road. A news release from BPD says officers found an overturned vehicle off E. Amity Road with two people inside.
Paramedics arrived and declared the driver and passenger deceased at the scene, according to the release. Police say preliminary information shows the crash happened around 12:45 a.m. and the crash knocked out power lines in the area. Crews from Idaho Power responded to take care of the downed lines.
The BPD Violent Crimes Unit is still investigating the direction of travel and what caused the driver to crash. The Ada County Coroner's Office will release the identity of the driver and passenger after family has been notified.
