Two Ontario, Oregon men have been booked into the Ada County Jail on charges stemming from a series of vehicle burglaries in Boise’s North End neighborhood.

Just before 1:00 a.m. Wednesday, Boise Police patrol officers responded to a report of a vehicle burglary near the intersection of 19th and Ada Streets.

“Witness reports indicated two (men) had entered and gone through a vehicle, before heading northbound on foot. The men appeared to be burglarizing other vehicles on the street,” according to a Boise Police news release.

Officers responded to the area and located the two men, who police say matched the suspects’ descriptions, near 19th and Eastman Streets.

They were later identified as 20-year-old Francisco Castro (left) and 21-year-old Enrique Torres-Ortega (right). “The two were taken into custody and found to be in possession of items later identified to be stolen from several different unlocked vehicles in the area,” the release said.

Each was booked into the Ada County Jail and faces four felony counts of burglary.

Investigators believe there could be more vehicle burglary victims.
