A Las Vegas man was booked into the Ada County Jail Thursday night, charged with two counts of procuring a prostitute and one count of accepting the earnings of a prostitute.

According to court documents, the crimes took place between May 15 and 17 (last Monday and Wednesday),” said Assistant Ada County Prosecutor Shawna Dunn.

Boise Police officers arrested Shawnquinte Hall, 29, Thursday at a hotel on Vista Avenue. Officials did not say which hotel.

Hall is also charged with attempted strangulation.

All four charges are felonies.

In all cases, the victim was an adult female, Dunn said.

Hall made his initial court appearance Thursday. An Ada County judge set his bond at $300,000.

Hall is scheduled to return to court June 12 for a preliminary hearing.

A Boise Police Department spokesperson says the investigation is continuing.
