The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Boise man who has been missing since Friday.
Deputies searched an area around Big Salmon Road, near the Salmon River, Sunday for John “Randy” French, 54. But they found no clues to his whereabouts.
Family and friends say French left Boise Thursday to go fishing along the Salmon River. But no one has heard or seen him since.
An Idaho County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher says searchers scoured the area until about 2 p.m. Sunday. The dispatcher described the area being searched as “rugged wilderness.”
Friends are continuing the search today.
A missing person report has been filed with the Boise Police Department.
French has greying hair, a trimmed beard, and brown eyes.
A facebook posting by a friend says the last ping on French’s cell phone was about 5 a.m. Friday.
He was last seen driving his pickup truck, a 2004 Chevy Avalanche. Idaho license: 94350.
