BOISE, Idaho — A 26-year-old Boise man is behind bars on three felony charges after threatening a woman and keeping her in a car for several hours.

Boise Police say they responded to a domestic dispute around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday near Vista and Cherry. Police say they found a female victim who appeared to have been assaulted and held against her will throughout the previous night.

Police say 26-year-old Brennden Rader threatened her with a knife and didn't allow her to leave the car they were in for several hours. Officers searched the area and found Rader and the car parked in an alley nearby.

Officers told him to get out of the vehicle but he refused, and when officers tried to take him out of the vehicle, he resisted. Police used a K9 to apprehend Rader.

He was taken to the hospital for minor injuries, and once released he was booked on charges of Felony Aggravated Assault, Felony Kidnapping in the Second Degree, Felony Attempted Strangulation, and misdemeanor Resisting or Obstructing Officers.
