BOISE (KIVI) — A local fire union and the Boise Fire Department brightened the day of some local children on Thursday. It was all part of the 10th Annual Boise Fire Toy Brigade.

The group made several stops around town, including at St. Luke’s in downtown Boise.

The event aims to support the families of sick or homeless children.

"it's great. In our jobs we don't always see smiling faces so this is a good way of spreading the holiday cheer along with my brothers handing out toys to those in need and those in need of a smile," said Boise firefighter Craig Martin.

Local 149 partnered with many generous local businesses and several individuals to raise funds and collect toys for the event.
