Wednesday the Idaho Statesman and the Boise Young Professional group teamed up to host the ultimate networking event.
About 700 people packed the Boise Centre in hopes of expanding their business knowledge. The all day event gave employers the opportunity to mold these young minds through roundtable discussions. With the rapid growth of the City of Trees young professionals from all over the US have come to the Treasure Valley for job advancement. One of those young professionals is Darlee Overzet. Overzet said Wednesday event was a rollercoaster of emotions.
"I'm so excited to have been able to add tools to my toolbox to help me be a better leader to my team," said Overzet. "I learn to put myself first put myself in their shoes."
Overzet adds that you can never be too advanced in your career and there are always learning moments if you just look for them.
About 100 companies turned out for the third annual event.
