The Boise Elks Lodge was all a bustle today, with dozens of members getting into the holiday spirit. They were busy assembling Christmas food baskets for local families in need. Along with all the items for a feast, hygiene products were provided to help get everyone in the household get ready for the new year. Program coordinator Bugs Sorenson told us, "it's so rewarding because it's our gift and our celebration. I'm going to go home now and start getting ready for my Christmas because this is something that I put ahead of all that." Delivering the Christmas baskets to families’ door steps has been a tradition for fifty years.

Treasure Valley families are getting some help in the form of care packages from Elks Lodge.
