BOISE, Idaho — A new dentist's office in Boise is partnering with a local non-profit in an effort to help teens and young adults achieve their GEDs.

Dr. Jeremy Brown of Boise Dental Arts is donating 10 dollars to Life's Kitchen for every new patient who walks through his doors. The donations will help teenagers and young adults pay for testing fees while they pursue their GEDs.

"Part of why I'm doing it is not just to be a dentist, but to give people the opportunity of being part of something bigger, to give back to the community," Dr. Brown said.

Life's Kitchen allows young adults to build self-sufficiency and independence through food service and life skills training, job placement, and continuing education.

Boise Dental Arts has donated $260 so far, but Dr. Brown estimates they'll be able to raise closer to $10,000 by the end of his first year in business.
