A Boise County Prosecuting Attorney arrested for felony DUI on April 8th has requested a leave of absence while she goes through the legal process.
Jolene Maloney was previously convicted of a DUI in 2012 and 2013 before being arrested for a third time on April 8th.8th.
The Boise County Commission does not have the legal authority to forcibly remove her from her position and it is still unclear if Maloney plans to resign in the future.
Jay F. Rosenthal, Chief Deputy Prosecutor, has been appointed to perform her duties while she is taking an absence.
Maloney was being held on a $50,000 bond but has posted and since been released since April 11th.
