Bogus Basin officials announced Friday that the recreation area north of Boise will open a terrain park on the Pepsi Gold Rush Tubing Hill Saturday and Sunday, December 2nd and 3rd.

Crews began using portable fan guns to make snow on Monday night and “there is now enough coverage for enthusiasts to kick off the season this weekend,” according to a news release. The run is designed specifically for experienced park skiers and riders.

“We are as excited as everyone about opening, and our snowmaking has given us this great opportunity for our pass holders and others,” said Bogus Basin General Manager Brad Wilson. The features will include two lines with rails and boxes.

Guests will be among the first to use a new 560-foot conveyer lift to transport them up the hill, the release said.

The terrain park will operate Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 for all ages, and may be purchased only at the Pepsi Gold Rush Tubing Hill office located on the mountain. There is no cost for season pass holders.
