The Superior Chairlift will run
Posted
Good news for skiers and snowboarders. Bogus Basin Ski Resort will be open for a bonus weekend.

The nonprofit recreation area announced yesterday that the Superior Chairlift will run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday this weekend.

That chairlift only goes to intermediate and advanced terrain. There will be no beginner slopes open.

On Monday, mountain personnel began clearing snow out of the base area so they can start construction on their summer projects.

We spoke with Brad Wilson, the general manager about their plans for the recreation area.

"We're going to be building some great summer activities over the summer including a mountain coaster, a climbing tower and we're going to rebuild the whole patio behind me so we're going to offer a whole bunch of new stuff and really reinvent bogus basin into that year round recreation area that we're really meant to be," said Brad Wilson, Bogus Basin General Manager.

There will also be live music outside the Pioneer Lodge this Saturday.

Tickets for this weekend will cost 25 dollars for adults and just 10 dollars for kids.
