A wildfire burning eight to nine miles north of Huntington Oregon has burned over 2,500 acres of sage brush and grass land.
The BLM dispatch center in Vale Oregon says some windmills were being threatened but they were able to push the fire back, no other structures are threatened.
Crews are battling the fire on the ground and in the air using ten BLM engines, three helicopters, six small aircraft and have done one flame retardant drop from a heavy tanker.
The BLM hopes to get full containment on Friday night. The cause of the fire is unknown.
