The Better Business Bureau has a lot planned to help consumers during National Cyber Security Awareness Month. It's a time designated by the National Cyber Security Alliance to remind both citizens and businesses to take stock of their online security measures.

"Cyber threats continue to increase and it’s important to take whatever steps you can to secure your technology, data and personal information," BBB's Veronica Craker said.

This month, BBB will be rolling out tips and articles on cyber security to help businesses and consumers find the best ways to protect themselves. You can find that information at www.bbb.org/BBBSecure

BBB will also hold a free shred event on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the West Ada School District Renaissance High School parking lot in Meridian. It's a free event and they will accept up to three bags or boxes of documents and computers for disposal and recycling.
