CALDWELL, Idaho — Every year, Hispanic radio stations La GranD 106.3 FM and La Poderosa 100.7 FM put together a back to school drive to prepare students for the upcoming school year.
The event helps provide school supplies, such as backpacks and other items, for kids in elementary school, middle school and high school.
With the help of the Caldwell Police, radio DJ's from the radio stations handed out school supplies, as a long line of cars showed up for the COVID-19-friendly event.
"So we are really excited to be able to help the community," said Gustavo Acosta. "Because of the COVID thing, a lot of parents lost their jobs, so we are really happy to be able to do this for them."
Idaho Central Credit Union also helped with the event, and parents who rolled through said they were grateful for the opportunity.
