MIDDLETON — Canyon County authorities have identified the man found dead in an irrigation canal Sunday.
Canyon County spokesman Joe Decker said Jose Manuel Montiel Sr., 57, of Caldwell, died of natural causes related to health issues, according to reports.
Middleton Police investigators said a property manager was cleaning the canal near the Middleton Skate Park around 11 a.m. Sunday when he found the man’s body.
No indication yet how the man ended up in the canal.
