All Idaho county, appellate, and problem-solving courts will be open today despite the National Day of Mourning due to the funeral of President George H.W. Bush. The Idaho Supreme Court will also be open. All of the courts will be open and conducting judicial business as scheduled.
“We want to clarify that courts throughout Idaho will remain open and be operating normally on Wednesday and are not impacted by the closure of Federal facilities and organizations,” said Sara Thomas, Administrative Director of Idaho Courts. “If you have a hearing or other official court business, you should proceed as you normally would.”
The Executive order issued by President Trump only applies to Federal offices and employees. This does not impact any court operations at the state level. Post offices, major U.S. stock markets, and nearly all federal offices will be closed today.
