Two separate groups of baby ducklings are safe Sunday, thanks to fire crews with the Nampa Fire Department.

Firefighters from station 2 saved the chicks from storm drains, after the small birds slipped through the opening.

Fast-thinking responders created a rescue device using a traffic cone and a pole, allowing them to reach down into the drain and bring the ducklings to safety.
