The Ada County Treasurer's office says they have sent out property tax bills as of today, November 15, 2016. Those bills aim to help the public make good on some $538 million in taxes in 44 taxing districts. Payments can be made by mail, phone, in person or online. Fees may be associated with phone or online payments. Check, cash, money order or cashier's checks are acceptable for in-person payments.
The date on the postage is of crucial importance in their determination of whether payment was mailed on-time or late. If the post office accepts and meters the mail, that date is an officially acceptable date.
Unofficial dates that are not acceptable include self-metered mail, pre-canceled stamps, automated mail center stamps, and permit imprints.
