Ada county expecting high turnout for voting

With record early voting in Ada County this year, election officials are anticipating a high turnout for Election Day as well.

Ada County polls are open from eight a.m. to eight p.m. today. If you still need to vote in Ada County, election officials say you may want to vote as early as possible to avoid long lines.

"Where we anticipate lines to build up is between five and eight p.m. Almost half of the voters who vote on election day will vote in those three hours so the best alternative is to try and vote earlier," said Phil McGrane, Ada County Chief Deputy Clerk.

When you go to vote, election officials ask that you have a photo ID ready to make the process as smooth as possible.
