A 19-year-old Kuna woman who crashed her car into a tree on Monday was found to have had a blood alcohol content of more than four times the legal limit, according to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office.

Brea P. Woods has been charged with a misdemeanor count of excessive DUI in connection with a crash that occurred just after 11:30 a.m. at S. Galewood Way.

Woods drive her Kia Optima into a tree and her passenger had to be taken to the hospital. Officers found Woods outside of her vehicle and smelled alcohol.  She failed a field test and was taken to the police station where she failed a breathalyzer test. 

Her BAC was .326 according to the ACSO.

Woods was released from jail after posting bond Monday afternoon. She is set to make her initial court appearance Thursday.
