Some major traffic changes could be coming to the intersection of Warm Springs and Broadway Road near St. Lukes in downtown Boise, but they won't be happening anytime soon.
The proposed changes aim to improve safety for bikers and pedestrians, while accommodating large volumes of traffic.
The Ada County Highway District Board of Commissioners took public comment tonight, before settling on a final option, but they also voted to hold off on putting the project into motion.
"They want a break. Right now there is the big Broadway bridge replacement project in the close vicinity and they want a little time between that and the next big project, and the commission said they heard them and we are not going to be hitting the accelerator on this project. We are going to let it come around in time," explained Craig Quintana of ACHD.
They say the changes won't happen for several years at the earliest.
