MERIDIAN, Idaho — Happening this week, crews will begin work along Fairview Avenue as part of the Ada County Highway District's (ACHD) Federal Aid Capital Maintenance project. The project includes pavement rehabilitation, select pipe replacement and pedestrian ramp upgrades. The project will be completed in phases.
Phase One:
Concrete work will begin on Fairview Avenue between Eagle and Cloverdale Roads the week of September 9. The work will be done during the day and road closures might be needed between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Roadwork is expected to start in late September. That work will be done at night on weekdays between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. or on weekends (day and/or night). Roadwork will require lane closures and lane shifts.

- Division Avenue, Boise Avenue to Beacon Street
- Latah Street, Overland Road to Alpine Street
- Fairview Avenue, Dixie Lane to Cloverdale Road
Phase Two:
Concrete work started on Emerald Street on September 3, Orchard Street between Overland and Franklin will be next. Concrete work will include improvements to pedestrian ramps, sidewalks and valley gutters as needed. The work will be done during the day, with milling and paving done at night. There may be daytime lane closures between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. as well as 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Roadwork will be done at night between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. on weeknights or on weekends. Roadwork is expected to start in mid-September and will require lane shifts and lane closures.
- Emerald Street, Cole Road to Orchard Street: Camelot Drive where it intersects with Emerald Street will be closed from August 26th to September 12th for work on the valley gutter. Access to/from Emerald Street from Camelot Drive will not be permitted. Local residents may want to take Cole Road to Cascade Street during the closure.
