ADA COUNTY, Idaho — The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony June 17 for the opening of the Cloverdale Overpass. The event will begin at 10 a.m. in the parking lot of Spalding Elementary School in Boise.

The project is not complete yet. The ribbon cutting is to commend the commitment to open one lane of travel in each direction. The overpass has been closed for a year.

This is a joint commitment between ACHD and the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD). ITD is replacing the overpass with a wider bridge that has two travel lanes in each direction, bike lanes and a sidewalk. ACHD is widening Cloverdale Road between Franklin Road and Camas Drive. Improvements include two travel lanes in each direction and a center turn lane, a raised bike lane and a new bridge over Ridenbaugh Canal.

Construction and ongoing impacts will remain until the work is completed in September 2019.
