A Vallivue school is putting a new twist on vending machines.

Lakeview Elementary School in the Vallivue School Distirct has come up with what school officials believe will be a popular addition to the school — a book vending machine.

The easy-to-understand concept comes because students are not allowed to take home library books. Instead, students can get gold coins and choose the books they want.

"We're all in this school thing together, we all work together as a team here, and the kids are our number one priority so we're all excited to see their reaction," said Jenn Eardley, Lakeview Elementary Librarian.

The teachers at the school said the school's newest invention shows how COVID-19 has pushed people to think outside the box.
