BOISE, Idaho — 94.9 "The River" is teaming up with Leinenkugel’s again to help clean up the Boise River. Every year, the radio station organizes volunteers to help clean up trash people have left along the banks of the Boise River.

This year's cleanup is Saturday, August17. Organizers will provide trash bags and gloves. Volunteers are encouraged to wear sensible shoes, have plenty of water and sunscreen.

"My favorite part about this is watching these listeners who have never met each other before come together and bond over an hour of volunteer work. My favorite part is seeing families bring their kids out there and watch the kids get into it and understand what volunteering means," 94.9 DJ Tim Johnstone said.

Volunteers will meet at ten Saturday morning at Esther Simplot Park. An after party will be held at Cafe Luciano's from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The River will be giving away concert tickets and all volunteers will get Leinenkugel’s merchandise. And if you're 21 and over, you will have the chance to win a canoe full of brew from Leinenkugel’s.
