MERIDIAN, Idaho — Scentsy is getting ready to rock for a good cause. The Scentsy Rock-a-Thon is happening Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Scentsy campus in Meridian.

More than a thousand volunteers will keep 70 rocking chairs in motion to raise funds and awareness for Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Idaho. In February 2020, RMHC of Idaho will open a new 47-room ROnald McDonald House in Boise, three times larger than the current house.

“We believe happy, healthy families fuel vibrant communities,” said Heidi Thompson, Scentsy’s Co-CEO. “We believe in the work of the Ronald McDonald House. We support their mission of keeping families together in times of medical need, and are so excited about this partnership to help even more families.”

The 12-hour, community-wide Rock-a-Thon also includes a fleet of food trucks on-site with a portion of their sales going to the charity. Once the chairs stop rocking at 8 p.m., the community party continues with live music, princesses and more. Following a check presentation at 8:45 p.m., Scentsy will celebrate with one of the best firework displays in Idaho.

Rock-a-Thon is one part of Scentsy’s summer giving efforts. Employees have spent the past few weeks donating and stockpiling housewarming items in preparation for the new Ronald McDonald House.

“Thanks to the Scentsy Rock-a-Thon, we will be closer to making this much needed House a reality,” said Mindy Plumlee, Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho. “We are grateful for Scentsy’s support of our effort to make room for every family.”

This will be Scentsy's sixth Rock-a-Thon. For more information, to get involved or donate click here.
