A five-year-old Boise girl was honored as the "Pro Cyclist of the Day" in a surprise announcement during the 32nd annual Twilight Criterium Saturday.
Claire Jensen was given the title after she received a grant from the United Health Care Children's foundation to help fund her speech therapy. The organizations pro cycling team surprised her with the award during a pre-race celebration at 10 Barrel Brewing Company.
Jensen and her family are all active cyclists, and as part of the honor, Jensen will receive a new bike, helmet, and an autographed pro cycling team jersey.
