208 Comedy Fest kicks off Thursday

BOISE, Idaho — If you're in need of a laugh, this is the week for you! Boise is getting ready to host the 208 Comedy Fest from September 5 through 8.

The festival features comedians in different showcases at various venues around Boise, including early and late shows. Thursday's fun starts with headliners Jenny Yang and Sam Tallent, plus several other performers at Liquid Laughs.

Other performers at this year's Comedy Fest include: Solomon Georgio, Caitlin Gill, Michelle Biloon, Aminah Imani, Jim Tews, Brian Bahe, Mateen Stewart, Chey Bell, Sarah Price, and Maddies Downes. The 2019 Headliner Show features Maria Bamford at The Knitting Factory on Saturday and Rhea Butcher on Friday night. A special event featuring Tig Notaro is at The Egyptian on Sunday.
