FREMONT COUNTY, Idaho (AP) -- Authorities say two people have been killed in separate snowmobiling crashes in the Island Park area.

The Fremont County Sheriff's Office says the incidents happened Tuesday. Responders were called to the first crash Tuesday afternoon in the Baker Draw area of Island Park.

Sheriff's Officials say 79-year-old Jack Doxey of North Ogden, Utah, missed a curve while snowmobiling and hit a tree. He reportedly died later from his injuries.

Officials say 31-year-old Blaine W. Jarvis of Manitoba, Canada, was riding with a group back to their cabin in the Island Park area, became separated from them and hit a tree.

The Sheriff's Office says Jarvis was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.
